DRESS REHEARSALS
All dress rehearsals for the 2027 dance recital will be held at Seven Hills School Schiff Center on June 9, 10, and 11, 2027.

PLEASE NOTE: UPDATE FROM LAST SEASON - The tuition listed below is paid MONTHLY for 10 MONTHS. (The full year is averaged per month.) A $45 non-refundable annual registration fee is due at the time of signing-up. Your first month's tuition will come out in September and continue automatically each month until June. If finances are the reason you are not signing up for classes, please fill out the financial aid form above! We have aid available. If a class is full, please join the waiting list! If we have 5 students on a list we can start creating another class or adding additional teachers to make class happen for you!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- We have class options for ages 18 months-18 years (Toddler-12th).
- Classes are grouped by grade or age for the current school year.
- Dancers must be 18 months old at the time of sign up to participate.
- All dancers attending classes must be fully potty trained and able to use the restroom independently. (with the exception of our toddler class – please make sure they use the restroom before class!)
- No audition required: just sign up!
- Abilities may be mixed within a class.
- Can take as few or as many classes as you’d like!
- Classes need 5 students for it to run.
- No formal dress code: Any clothes your dancer can move freely in is great!
- However a lot of our dancers will wear leotards/tights.
- We ask that you do not wear jeans or dresses without shorts under them.
- Yes, some classes do require shoes:
- Ballet or Creative Movement – Ballet shoes, any style (pink for feminine presenting dancers and black for masculine presenting dancers)
- Hip Hop – black/white, clean, non-marking sneakers that are reserved for dance class and ARE NOT worn outside.
- Jazz – Black jazz shoes, any style
- Modern – barefoot, NO SOCKS!
- Tap – Black Tap shoes, any style
- Please have shoes by the second week of class! Guardians, please provide.
- Please make sure that all dance shoes are NOT worn outside!
- 10% discount is applied to total monthly tuition when you sign up more than 1 child/class
- Financial aid is available! Please email claire@mutualarts.org to apply
- If finances are the reason you are unable to sign up for class, please reach out to us! We would love to make dance classes happen for you.
- Tuition INCLUDES recital costume and tights.
- Tuition pays for the teacher’s and assistant’s time.
- Tuition compensates for admin and office duties.
- Tuition goes toward occupancy costs to keep the building open and running.
- Tuition helps fund the theatre rental for the recital.
- Tuition allows for us to hire a videographer for the recital.
- Additional (not included in tuition) recital costs include: tickets and optional memorabilia purchases.
- The cost of costumes, tights, and many other items has gone up SIGNIFICANTLY this year, which is reflected in our tuition.
- If you need to drop a class, you must email claire@mutualarts.org with a written notice of your final class date.
- Once a class if dropped, you will not be charged tuition.
- Please note that if we have already ordered recital costumes and you need to drop a class, you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance of your costume.
- We do have three small lobby areas with limited seating.
- Parents may be a distraction to children in the class, so we ask that you wait in a lobby area or in your car.
- If your child is too young to enter and exit on their own, please absolutely feel free to come to the lobby to wait for them!
- Please arrive on time for class! We ask that you arrive no more than 5-10 minute before your class begins.
- Please make sure your dancer uses the restroom BEFORE class starts!
- If your child has anything we need to know about, please reach out!! We want to make sure everyone has a successful year of classes.
- Please bring a water bottle with you! We have fountains for refills.
- Please make sure your dancer’s hair is secured away from their face – ponytails, braids, buns, etc are welcome. Dancer’s can not wear their hair down to class!
- No devices in the studio rooms unless needed for medical reasons – please turn the on silent and keep them in your bag
- No gum or food during dance class times – if you are packing a snack or lunch for your break, please only eat in the lobby areas.
- Try your best at all times
- Quiet voices during class & between exercises
- Look & listen when teachers are speaking
- Show respect toe everyone, including yourself!
- Be a role model
